KOHFIE KONNECT

Rapper and NOAH's ARK label owner Jiggy Djé a.k.a. Keyser Punchline was supposed to release his sophmore album De Ark De Triomf. But... while working on a track called KEIHARD (rock hard) for that album - together with his long time producer partner Terilekst a.k.a. Baron von Beatsbauer and featuring his brother in rhyme, Tenshun a.k.a. Tsaar Punchline - Jiggy and his Ark Boys thought of a better plan. Because the three of them form the cult-classic Dutch rapgroup Kohfie Konnect, and people have been waiting far longer on their debut album, the three Kohfie Kings decided to bring the public what they've been longing for (for many years). Together with their dj (Frankie Boxcutta) they delivered a hip hop classic album called HETISZOVER (it's over / it's time) within a few months. A straight up boom bap conceptalbum full of inventive beats, wordplay that brings a smile to your face and killer punchlines.

HETISZOVER became a critically acclaimed album. Which also spawned a hugh following of people wearing the classic black t-shirts with blood red Kohfie Konnect letters.

Later on the album was also pressed on dubble vinyl as well. Thanks to Demonfuzz Records in Rotterdam. Big up Lex Luthor and Git Hyper for that! HETISZOVER turned out to be a very beautiful project for the real hip hop lovers out there.

The artwork for the entire project (even the Kohfie Konnect logo) were all done by Brian. Super photographer Daniel J. Ashes helped Brian out by helping to create the classic artwork for this historic project. The artwork was inspired by vintage images of the young Muhammed Ali and cult classic movies like Snatch, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and RockNRolla.
